How do I add leads and contacts?
There are 3 ways to do it. Click on the Add leads button on the home page or on the contact list page to add new contacts or add new leads to existing contacts. Alternatively use the import leads wizard found by clicking on the import file button on the home page. Whichever way you use the app prevents duplicate contacts.
-
What fields are available to store my lead information?
B12 Leads comes set up with a range of standard contact fields, however you can add your own additional fields and as many as you require.
-
Can I capture all the lead information provided with a Lead?
Yes, as there is almost no limit to the amount of information saved with a lead. New lead fields can be set up during the process of adding a lead or importing a lead. You can also set up lead fields through the set up menu.
-
What are Lead Rules?
Lead rules automatically assign a lead to a user based on one or more criteria e.g. location, company, product or even lack of telephone number. You can combine the criteria to make a single rule. User can have more than rule and you can prioritize the order of your rules. You decide when you add a lead or file whether to use your lead rules or override them.
-
What is a Lead Owner?
The Lead Owner is the user who has been assigned to follow up the lead.
-
What is a Lead Source?
A Lead Source is a description of where the lead came from e.g. trade show, a bought in list, or a marketing campaign.
-
Can I override my lead rules and decide how each lead I add is assigned?
You can assign any leads you add to either yourself, your team or according to your lead rules. This can be done at any time.
-
Can I decide how each lead in a file is assigned?
Yes, you can either include a user against each lead you import or utilise your automated lead rules. Alternatively you can assign all the leads to a single user as part of the import process or manually assign them once they have been imported. If you want to manual assign them them you should assign them to yourself when importing your file.
-
How do I manually assign leads?
Any user can manually assign (and reassign) leads assigned to them to another member of their team. If you assign your file of leads to yourself you will then be able to reassign them to another team member as you may require.
-
Can I have leads feed directly from my website into B12 Leads?
Yes, the registration page included in B12 Leads can be seamlessly incorporated in your website and enables you to capture leads on your website and feed them directly into your B12 Leads system. Alternatively you can generate an API to embed in your website.
-
Can I import contacts from a generic CSV or Spreadsheet file into B12 Leads?
Yes, from the homepage select Import File and follow the simple 3 step process. If importing from a spreadsheet first save the file as a CSV file.
-
Can I import leads from a trade show or other purchased leads?
Yes, you can import any leads you have, whether generated from a trade show, a purchased list or any other lead generation activity you undertake.
-
Can I over ride the lead rules for a specific file of leads?
Yes, you can decide to assign all the leads to a single user or to users specified in the file you are importing. Importing is completely flexible to ensure the leads get to the person you want to receive them.
-
Can I stop standard users from importing files?
Yes you can change their privileges to stop them importing files.
-
How do I set up a new lead source?
When you are in the process of adding a lead or importing a file select the New Source option from the Source drop down lists. Alternatively go to the Source section in Set Up and select the New Source button.
-
How do you prevent leads without enough details being added?
A user can only add a lead (or import a lead) which has at least one piece of contact information. This way your sales person always has a way of contacting the lead and there time is not wasted.
-
How many leads can I import?
The total number of leads you can import is only limited by the limit on the package you have contracted.
